This publication is available in Paperback, Hardcover, eBook via Kindle Edition and mass Market Paperback. Price is ranging from $6.99 to $20.99.  The book has 432 pages, published July 2, 2010 (revised edition).
This book concentrates on the pH miracle as an intestinal cleansing program. Following the 80-20% ratio protocol on food selection based on alkalizing or acidifying effects on the body after digestion and a multitude of supplements recommended by the authors Shelley and Robert Young.  Their recommendations can be used by anyone no matter what age, gender, and race or health condition.  The authors have selected a specific infection known as “candida”.  Candida is a type of yeast infection that results in the overproduction of a form of yeast normally found in the body at low levels; it is inside all of us, in the digestive tract, mouth, and throat and in most women it is also found in their private area.  When the human body is weakened, it is very vulnerable to bad organism attacks.  In response to outside organism invaders, the body produces various weapons to fight them; if the body is weak because of a host of conditions and factors, the immune system cannot do this job properly.  They used this infection to make profound declaration on the effectiveness of the alkaline diet.
Amazon included alkaline diet review posted by consumers who purchased the book, who knew something about the authors and readers who have not read the book but just wanted to share an idea, a thought or an insight.  Inside the book are testimonials of people who were successful in beating cancer, improved their digestive system, and maintained a healthy cholesterol count by following the 70% vegetable diet.  These claims are widely contested by many health experts and have not been substantiated by the Food and Drug Administration.
One consumer outlined the reasons why the book worked for her.
1. Super hydration – drink 8 to 10 glasses of water per day, something we all have heard before way before these fancy diets got attention from the average American
2. Consume more alkaline-forming foods, you do not need to go fancy in food preparation or selection – they ultimate key is to increase the percent of fresh vegetables in your diet.
3. Some people cannot tolerate the taste, texture or just the idea of eating vegetables.  There are plenty of supplements in the form of capsules or powder containing super greens as well as 125 different vitamins, minerals and amino acids.
This concise and short summary only brings us to what we know – eat five servings of fruits and vegetables every day that consider as an alkaline diet, drink plenty of water to hydrate your body and rid of toxins, be active and exercise at least 3x a week – do all these and you are on your way to reclaiming your health!

  1. Most people want a one-page list that they can hang on their refrigerator or take with them when they go to the grocery store. At these times, a poorly-formatted 30-page list chart is practically useless.
