Reclaim your Health with Alkaline Diet


Alkaline diet is composed of foods that are alkaline-forming; these foods do not necessarily contain alkaline pH properties prior to human consumption.  This type of diet is also known to many health enthusiast and alternative medical practitioners as alkaline-ash diet.  Food releases energy to the body by burning or metabolizing them into waste products.  This process is in fact chemically similar to burning a substance into ash.   To reclaim your health with the alkaline diet you need to follow the alkalinity-acidity ratio of seventy to eighty percent alkalinizing foods and twenty to thirty percent acidifying foods.  When food metabolizes or burns inside the body to an alkaline ash, the residual ingredients are composed mainly of sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium while on the other side acid-ash foods produce residual ingredient that includes sulfur, phosphorus, chlorine and incombustible organic radicals.
Some foods can be misconstrued as acidic foods because of its original form or classification.  A good example of this type of misconception is lemon.  Lemon is the best alkaline-forming fruit in the universe.  To some people lemon can be type-cast as an acid-forming fruit as it is classified as citrus fruit that contains high dose of vitamin C.  What makes lemon differs from other citrus is its mineral contents form alkaline ash as a product of digestion, these ash go into the body’s tissues.  The human blood’s natural pH level from 7.35 to 7.45; a pH of 7.0 is neutral, a pH below 7.0 is acidic and a pH above 7.0 is alkaline.
To alkalize your daily diet and promote healthy eating habits; it is important to increase the amount of fresh and organic fruits and vegetable in your meal.  Vegetables and fruits are the most alkaline diet foods easily accessible to everyone.  Alkalizing your water is important too, you can accomplish this by purchasing an alkaline water system or making it a habit to put lemon on your drinking water.  A high alkaline food meal plan is very important to maintain an excellent pH level.
